Cereplast to supply bioplastics to Warner Tool Manufacturing

Cereplast, Inc., a leading manufacturer of proprietary bio-based, sustainable plastics, has announced that it will supply Warner Manufacturing Company with bio-plastic resin for its new biodegradable Painting Accessories.Warner
Manufacturing Company specializes in designing high quality tools for professional trade people and do-it-yourselfers. The company has recently introduced a new range of Eco-Friendly tools which includes the first biodegradable painting accessories in North America. In addition to biodegradability, these tools combine ergonomic, sturdiness, outstanding design and multi- functions."Warner Tool was looking for a bio-degradable and compostable resin with similar mechanical properties to resins we were currently using. The critical factor was the flexural modulus as we needed the proper stiffness for the putty knife blades. Warner also wanted the material melt flow and process temperatures similar to our previous materials to maintain cycle time requirements.
